In A Box Kits
Teachers, presenters, and group leaders who work with grades 4-8 can explore aspects of scientific careers, the body, and the environment through these self-contained “Exploration in Science and Health” kits from the In-A-Box program.
These kits were created by the Oregon Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and professionals at Oregon Health & Science University. The goal of each kit is to provide current health and science activities to inspire students about the possibilities of a career in science as well as a better understanding of their bodies and environment. Kits include Ear In-A-Box, Eye In-A-Box, Brain In-A-Box, Guts In-A-Box and Bones & Muscles In-A-Box. To view the contents of each kit, visit this website: http://www.inaboxcurriculum.net/
If you are interested in checking out one of these self contained kits in Alaska, contact your regional Alaska AHEC center. Contact information is below. For those communities outside of an Alaska AHEC center region, please contact the Alaska AHEC Program Office.
