Alaska PreMed Summit
Launch your career into medicine by attending the Alaska PreMed Summit, generally held each spring on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus. The PreMed summit is open to high school students, counselors, parents, undergraduate students, college advisors and non-traditional students. Attendees will find out about volunteer opportunities for pre-medical students, hear premedical undergraduates, current medical students, medical school graduates in residency training, and practicing physicians describe their experiences, gain knowledge of how to apply to medical schools including WWAMI-Alaska’s Medical School, participate in a mock medical school interview, and tour the Alaska WWAMI Program first-year medical student facilities.
Note: this summit is videoconferenced in Fairbanks, Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka and Kodiak
