Imaginarium
The Imaginarium, a hands-on Science Discovery Center for children of all ages, is located in downtown Anchorage. Visitors can discover ocean life in a marine touch tank, simulate earthquakes and auroras as well as create their own tsunamis, and ponder the magnitude of the universe in a planetarium. The Imaginarium offers summer explorer camps for students in grades 1-3, grades 4-6 and grades 7-8; a pre-school program for ages 2-5 during the school year; monthly special events and workshops and much more.
(Note: The Imaginarium staff is also available to present interactive and educational science workshops to schools outside of the Anchorage area.)
