MCHB Graduate Internship

The Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) sponsors Graduate Student Internship programs to enhance students’ skills in data analysis, promote training in MCH epidemiology, and to provide assistance to state and local health agencies with data-related projects. Internship projects are focused in these three critical areas: Data Analysis and Monitoring, Needs Assessment, and Program Evaluation.

Each year the internship program offers a list of opportunities for 12-week internships in state or local health departments. (Alaska has 2 projects out of 33 for 2012.) Student interns are paid a stipend of $5,000 for the summer or fall, and will be required to submit a final report at the conclusion of their internships.

Application deadline: February 27, 2012
