Mini Medical School
The Alaska WWAMI program coordinates an annual Mini Medical School lecture series in collaboration with the University of Washington School of Medicine and various Alaska physicians and health-care providers. Open to the public, the lecture series offers topics from the world of medicine that are of interest to all Alaskans. The location for this Mini Medical School alternates yearly between Anchorage and Fairbanks and videoconferencing allows participants in other communities. It is generally held on Tuesday evenings in October. A sampling of past Mini Medical School lecture topics can be found on the UAA WWAMI Biomedical Program website.
